When you use A Text From My Cat, we collect the following information:
Phone number. Required to send and receive SMS messages through our service. We may send messages from two numbers — (228) 295-0527 for primary accounts and (228) 231-5233 for add-on second cat accounts.
Email address. Collected during onboarding for account management purposes.
Location information. We collect your city and state to determine your timezone and provide location-aware content such as local weather references in your cat's messages. We do not collect your precise GPS location.
Cat information. Information you provide about your cat including their name, breed, age, personality traits, and other details you share during onboarding. This information is used solely to personalize your experience.
Message content. The content of SMS messages you send to and receive from our service is stored to maintain conversation history and improve response quality.
Payment information. We use Stripe to process payments. We do not store your credit card information. Please review Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
We use the information we collect to provide, operate, and improve the A Text From My Cat service, including to personalize your cat's AI-generated responses, send you scheduled messages from your cat, process your subscription payments, determine appropriate timezones for message delivery, and provide weather-aware content in your messages.
We do not use your information for email marketing. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
We use the following third-party services to operate our platform:
Twilio. We use Twilio to send and receive SMS messages. Your phone number is shared with Twilio for this purpose. See Twilio's privacy policy at twilio.com/legal/privacy.
Stripe. We use Stripe to process subscription payments. See Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
Anthropic. We use Anthropic's AI technology to generate your cat's responses. Message content may be processed by Anthropic's systems. See Anthropic's privacy policy at anthropic.com/privacy.
Supabase. We use Supabase to store your account information and message history securely.
We retain your information for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription and wish to have your data deleted, you may request deletion by contacting us at meow@atextfrommycat.com.
We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
A Text From My Cat is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will terminate their account and delete their information.
You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, request deletion of your information, and cancel your subscription at any time by texting CANCEL to (228) 295-0527 and (228) 231-5233.
